Bantams

Bantams are great if you have a limited amount of space as their smaller size means they can live in a smaller area than standard large fowl chickens.A true bantam is a chicken that doesn't have a large fowl version of it. Large fowl chickens that do have 'bantam' versions are known as minatures.

The advantages of keeping bantams are:

Great if you have a limited amount of space.

Don't eat as much food as L/F chickens.

Easier for younger children to handle.

The disadvantages of keeping bantams are:

Smaller eggs.

Housing:

Due to bantams being smaller they don't require big houses. Below are some arks we sell that I would recommend. They are both British made from good quality wood which will last many years if looked after well. They are great for for small gardens due to them having handles.
