Bobwhite

The bobwhite quail (Colinus Virginianus) is slightly larger than the japanese quail at 9½ - 10½ inches tall. Their eggs are normally white in colour and are more pointed than other eggs. There are many colour mutations including Mexican Speckled, Tennessee Red, White, Silver, Pied and Tuxedo. They are easy to sex in the normal colouring with the males having a white mask and the females having a fawn mask.

We keep the normal coloured coloured bobwhite quail.
