Large Fowl
I would definitely recommend large fowl chickens if you have the room. Some are not much bigger than the bantams while others are massive mainly because of their fluffy feathers (These are normally the most docile).
The advantges of keeping large fowl are:
BIGGER eggs.
Better than hybrids as they lay for 5-6 years
The disadvantages of keeping large fowl are:
Eat more food than bantams
Need more room.

Housing:
There are many different poultry houses on the market in a range of styles to meet everyone's budget. The general basics of housing are:
- Needs to be secure from predators
- Well ventilated
- Nest boxes 1 to every 3/4 chickens
- Perches about 2 foot of the ground
- Easy access for cleaning out.
- Handles if you want to move it around your garden.
Due to the size of large fowl chickens they need quite big houses.
It is normally cheaper to buy a garden shed and convert by adding perches and nest boxes.
