Pekin

  The Pekin bantam is a variety of true bantam chicken, this means it has no large fowl equivalent.

  They are shorter than the ordinary bantam, approximately 20-30 centimeters tall (with head upright) and their feet and legs are completely covered by their feathers. This means they do little damage to domestic gardens, as they are not heavy on their feet.

  The Pekin Bantam is a very gentle, making it an ideal pet. They are good layers of small eggs they are usually very broody which make them great mums. They also make excellent pets for children as they are very tame. They settle in very well and require little space. They are a robust little bird that loves company.
