Light Sussex bantams are actually minatures as they also come in Large Fowl.
The light Sussex bantam was being developed from the early 1920's. Some state that the speckled came first, but the Poultry Year book for 1927 comes out in favour of the Light.
They are bright, active, docile birds. They are good sitters but do not go broody as often as more heavily feathered breeds. As layers, they are good, producing up to 240 eggs a year.
Here at Sam' Poultry we sell Sussex bantams in the Light Varity.
